Approaching 20 years in business, I.KELA was started in Pennsylvania in 1987 by Inge Kuschnitzky supplying mostly UV replacement lamps and UV systems to the Industry. Because of I.KELA’s reputation and growth; ITW, a fortune 200 Company, who has a substantial position in the Hot Stamping Foil industry, found interest in I.KELA to supplement this sector. The acquisition was completed in July of 2000. In the 6 years under the ITW umbrella, I.KELA, using 80/20 philosophy has cut lead times of tooling, has invested in Software, CNC lathes, Milling machines and Servo Powered Engraving technology. These technological improvements have allowed I.KELA to lower tooling costs by more than 50% since 1997.
